Why did we change our name? 

We exist to “Lead People to Christ and Christ-likeness.”  As we seek to reach out to the community with the love of Christ, we want to remove barriers that might hinder us from communicating the Gospel.  For many people, especially those without a church background, “Evangelical Free” is confusing or often requires lots of explanation. 

Last December the church voted to make the name change.  With our new signage, we are implementing our name change.  While we are still affiliated with EFCA of America as an Evangelical Free Church, we are now doing business (DBA) as Hillside Community Church.
