Children are precious! God cares deeply for each one. As the father of four and a pastor, I have known the joy of leading little ones toward Jesus. I am aware of the awesome responsibility of child rearing. God entrusts us, as parents, with the ministry of loving our children the way Jesus loves.
At Porterville EFC, we value children and the role parents play in their lives. The Bible is clear that parents have primary responsibility for the spiritual development of their own children.  However, we understand the need parents have for helpful partners in raising their children to love Jesus and follow Him. That is why our mission is to assist families in nurturing their children on the path toward Christian maturity.

At PEFC we use the image of a path to communicate our purpose. That is why we chose Kids PATH as our ministry name. The letters in PATH stand for…

P = Praise God – learning to honor, worship, pray to and depend upon God

A = Advance in Christ – moving ahead in our knowledge and relationship with Jesus

T = Team up – to grow in friendship with each other and to do more effective ministry

H = Help others – caring for those in need and sharing the gospel with their peers

We on the Children's Ministries team want to be the helpful partners you need in your ministry of parenting. We strive to model Christ-like living and provide attractive opportunities for each child to move forward on the Kids PATH.

In keeping with our purpose and desire, we offer a variety of programs for ministry to the children of our church and community. We appreciate the opportunity to introduce these programs to you through this web site.
